St. Nicholas Church is very much part of "Churches Together in Newport".  

It's purpose is to bring the Christians of Newport together in joint ministry to the people of our communities,                  in our town, by arranging special services and events. 

Special times of Worship arranged throughout the year
Newport Carnival on Saturday 9th June
The Churches of Newport are running activities on the lawns of St. Nicholas Parish Church
Messy Church; Lawn Games; Map of the World; Dementia Stall; Refreshments
The Church will also be open for prayer, lighting of candles, refreshments.
Songs of Praise takes place every month in Residential homes in and around Newport.
Ministry in the schools with a particular vision of making prayer possible for every student happens throughout the year.
Every Saturday there is Prayer on the Streets in the Town Square between 11am and 1pm
There are occasional whole nights of prayer where Christians pack into church to pray.
CTN is at the heart of the new Newport Foodbank and distributes twice weekly.
There is a bi-monthly meeting of Churches Together in Newport to plan and agree future events.
