St. Nicholas Church is very much part of "Churches Together in Newport".  

It's purpose is to bring the Christians of Newport together in joint ministry to the people of our communities,                  in our town, by arranging special services and events. 

 
Special times of Worship arranged throughout the year: 
 
 
Songs of Praise takes place every month in Residential homes in and around Newport.
 
Ministry in the schools with a particular vision of making prayer possible for every student happens throughout the year. 
 
There are occasional nights of prayer where Christians pack into church to pray.
 
Newport Churches together are very involved with the Town Carnival in June, Easter and Christmas events and services.
 
CTN is at the heart of the Newport Foodbank and distributes weekly.
 
There is a bi-monthly meeting of Churches Together in Newport to plan and agree future events.
