St. Nicholas Church is very much part of "Churches Together in Newport".
It's purpose is to bring the Christians of Newport together in joint ministry to the people of our communities, in our town, by arranging special services and events.
Special times of Worship arranged throughout the year:
Maundy Thursday supper and reading of the whole Passion of Christ from St. Metthew's Gospel, with songs is open to all ages, families and denominsations who wish to come together to share in the full experience of Passion Week.

in St. Nicholas Church at 7.00pm
Good Friday sees the churches parade through the town with a service of thanksgiving prior to the walk in the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, on Salters Lane, at 10.30am
Easter Sunday evening of Praise and Thanksgiving
Pentecost Praise is on the eve of the feast of Pentecost to celebrate the arrival of the Holy Spirit.
Songs of Praise takes place every month in Residential homes in and around Newport.
Ministry in the schools with a particular vision of making prayer possible for every student happens throughout the year.
Every Saturday there is Prayer on the Streets in the Town Square between 11am and 1pm
There are occasional whole nights of prayer where Christians pack into church to pray.
CTN is at the heart of the new Newport Foodbank and distributes twice weekly.
There is a bi-monthly meeting of Churches Together in Newport to plan and agree future events.
